Enterovirus Type 71 (2003 Isolate) – CFHI

Enteroviruses are -30 nm in size, non-enveloped icosahedral viruses that contain positive-sense single-stranded RNA. Enterovirus Type 71 (2003 Isolate), species A, is propagated in the RD and LLC-mk2 cell line. Heat inactivated culture fluids are sold in 1.0 mL aliquots, and shipped on dry ice. Each lot of viral culture fluid is assayed for its Tissue Culture Infective Dose (TCID50) before being heat inactivated. Custom orders are available, including specific volumes and package sizes.

Heat inactivated viral culture fluids are sold as consumable testing materials. The suitability and performance characteristics should be determined by your laboratory for each intended usage. These products are NOT intended for use in the manufacture or processing of injectable products subject to licensure under section 351 of the Public Health Service Act or for any other product intended for administration to humans.
